Mount Fabric
Joel

Music: Joel Godfrey is 23 and has played guitar for about 6 years. He’s a fan of Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Explosions In The Sky, Mogwai, Muse, Sigur Ros and God Speed You Black Emporer! He is often responsible for the quirky guitar riffs dotted about through the Mount Fabric music and is particularly influenced by Johnny Greenwood, Nels Cline and Jeff Buckley. He is also a compulsive gear upgrader in denial, and replaces his equipment roughly once a year without even realising.

Recognisability: Joel may appear on either the left or the right side of the stage depending on where the most plugs are. He is known for his creative use of makeup and vibrant shoes, and plays the guitar like a man with a laser gun from the future. He also sings some backing vocals when a 2nd mic stand is available.

Special Skills: Joel has mad nunchuck skills, which are entirely self taught. Unfortunately, he never learnt to tie his own shoe laces, which has proved to be his downfall in several ninja battles.

Life Outside of Music
: Joel Godfrey was born in Doncaster, and moved to Manchester in 2004. He has type 1 Diabetes and was once a fishmonger. Until the age of 14, he was 4 foot tall.
