Hyde

There was a wooden figurine in a grainy picture
A plasma flicker on a mountainside
While on a different cliff there were men with telescopes
They see the flicker but they don't here the cries

With electric vines we pierce our veins
We shut our eyes and feel the chemical flow
And let our urges build and burst into flames
And torch this palace, scar our faces, break our bones

You don't know when to stop
You don't know how to stop

Hyde

The wooden figurine has seen all that's happened
But like a prisoner it is sealed and taped
And like a gunshot it is drowned out by the euphoria
Of being plugged into space, into painful escape

Cuz there are predators out on the mountainside
But I can't stop poisoning myself
Scavengers snapping out of a blood-thirst frenzy
And the consequence of submission in the absence of help
